Merom! Latitude D620

Thread Starter
Hey guys, my dad got a laptop a week ago and I just snuck on today (he'd kill me...).

Anyway, specs:

Merom T7400
Quadro NVS 110 256MB
1440x960 screen

OMG! This thing puts my baby (core2 rig) to shame.

Superpi: 23s for 1M. My rig is barely hitting the 25 mark now...

And it marked 1300 in 3dm03.

Then my dad came in and told me to get off or my head becomes stringly pulpy stuff...

Laptops these days are ridiculous.

Well it probably cost 2X as much as your desktop as well

I don't get it...why would a 2Ghz, 667FSB, Dual-Core, 4M Cache beat out your 2.5xxGhz, 1066+FSB, Dual-Core, 2M Cache desktop in superpi?

That just doesn't add up...unless you're running your RAM ungodly slow, which you shouldn't be with DDR2-900..

Call me crazy.

Why does he need a Quadro?

I think the 4M cache has something to do with it. And now I'm equalling it.

But then again, this means T7400 @ 2.13 = E6300 at 2.8

And his work gave it to him. He is computer hardware illiterate. SO quadro means nothing to him.

Nice man, yeah, that Merom is really fast.

Hell I got a Yonah, and I love it, I could only imagine Merom.
