unstable 2500k need help!

In my last thread i needed help with my cooler and cpu.

Ive got my new 2500k back from the store and it seems to be very unstable, I tried change multi to 42 phasecontrol to optimized, cpu current capability to 120 and pll voltage to 1,7 and load line calibration to high but it BSOD directly when starting prime and said "A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval"

only changing vcore to 1.22 and multi to 42 seems to make it able to start prime anyway...

What should i do? just heading for a 4.2-4.5 overclock. (Highest oc that wont decrease lifetime)

I really dont think that's gonna be enough Vcore. Try 1.3V and if that's stable you can work your way down to a lower voltage from there if you wish to do so.

Like said above, you might want to raise the Vcore. I am sitting around 1.36v for my OC.

How com BSOD when i change any of those settings? Only changing vcore and multi cause now bluescreens.

Try Very High LLC also it helps alot more. And Set the Phase to Extreme aslong as your Thermal is Fine. Just High i get terrible Vdroop in intel burn test for example Very High does a good job and i don't find a need for extreme. Very High is best LLC imo.

yes but if I loaded the stock settings and put multi to 42 and vcore to 1.22 prime has been running sweet for 2 hours...

ill try it out, vcore 1.22 has given me 61 61 65 58 as highest temp with my h50 pnp

45 multi vcore 1.32 phase and duty extreme LLC very high, 20 minutes gives me 69.71.75.68 as max temperature, What do you think about that ?

Thats fine stay under 85C during benchmarks like intel burn test which heat up the PC really hot. Prime under 75 C is fine, Normal load u wont hit near those temps. Under 85C is the Global safe max. Under 75C is golden. 95 C the chip begans to throttle, 98C it turns off, 100C = Damage. make sure you offset some temp as error by the sensor (add 5 C) My max in intel burn test with hot ambients iv seen like 83C IBT is good to test your cooling. Normal load i dont hit 55c-60C max. 60C in a 88F ROOM TEMP. if my room temp is 72F my temps dont break 50C usually around 49C but in winter iv seen as high as 59-60C in bf3 and swtor and what not. Summer is The Devil Season for overclockers! biggrin.gif

To defend my chip abit there is one core which wobble up to 72-75 and one hitting 70 and 2 others just chilling around 68-67, But compared to others is this normal behaviour for my h50 with pnp for cooling a chip running 1.32vcore? using AS5 this time and Ive only used ceramique before and I used the same appltication method and almost the same amount TIM but do i need more as5 since its more "easy flowing" than the cheramique?


and also is a Thermalright MUX-120 betther then my h50? The thermalright is on sale for 200 Swedishcrowns = 29,22 USD costs 590SWC = 86.21 USD usually
