Q8300's are terrible overclockers, some are lucky but most are blegh. Especially on a fairly simple board, 2.8ghz seems about right. When I was using my Q8400 on a good P45 board (P45 is the best chipset for 775) the most I got from my Q8400 was 3.2-3.5ghz. So with your setup i wouldn't be surprised if you cant get a stable 3ghz overclock with that chip on that board. Dont push it too far, never push a basic board or your gonna destroy its, whether it be power phases (which will most likely destroy your cpu too if a power phase goes) or capacitors.

Just be careful, if you want higher clocks get a good P45 board smile.gif
