Thanks for reminding me why I switched to Tiger Direct years ago. I got my build from Newegg this time only because of the $75 I saved over Tiger (not including tax + shipping).

Unfortunately (and not tiger's fault... Except for shipping with UPS SmartPost (worse than Mail Innovations), My package is in the abyss. got sent to the wrong post office, haven't heard a thing about it in 24 hours. Dunno if it's a Screwup on UPS (delivered to wrong post office) or USPS just taking their sweet time making the FOUR MILE trip to the correct post office. I could WALK there faster!

I'm having issues with this PSU's Molex connectors not working with the fan adapters, so I'm just gunna have to suck it up and force em to fit. They need to make Fan adapters that fit into SATA cables, that way I don't need to use another strand of just molex's. Waste of cable.

Also, (normally) next day UPS FTW from Tiger. 35 miles from the Naperville warehouse.

Newegg has always been okay for me. Nothing over super but dependable so never had to worry about looking else where. I noticed OutletPC.com - has anyone tried them?

I go with Amazon for anything that is fragile now. Newegg's packing is atrocious. Amazon isn't that great either (bubble so thin they had burst) but their return policy is great. I got a defective MB, they sent me a replacement in 2 days no questions asked and then I had like 30 days to return the defective one. specool.gif

If I am not mistaken, I would have had to have argued with them and sent the defective one in before they would send out a replacement.

I had a few issues with them before but they resolved those problems. I bought a new item from them and they sent me a used one. They resolved my issues which is why I always shopped at Newegg.

I suggest that you do not buy motherboards and processors from Newegg. If they arrive damaged, then they will blame you and refuse the return.

This suprises me back 2 months ago i bought a 2600k, asus sabertooth p67 and 8gigs of memory after a week my pc wouldnt power on after doing some tests i talked to asus and they told me sounded like a surge killed the board and the cpu and memory could be bad. I contacted newegg sence it was only a week old and talked to a rep thru live chat she set me up a advance rma for the cpu, motherboard, and ram without charging me anything shipping was paid for them both ways. They got the old stuff back and acepted the rma didnt charge me anything so for me newegg is still top notch i have bought every board i owned from newegg probly not 1 doa board or used looking board always brand new.

Not to get too off topic, but the mail carriers (UPS, FedEx) handle packages pretty poorly too. I work at a store where we have to send broken PC's off for repair sometimes and the UPS guys just throw the boxes in their trucks with no regard to what's inside. More than one occasion when we've had to pay for shipping damage...

I watched the UPS guy just drop my case on the floor of his truck, then drop the other 2 boxes ontop of it, cuz like 30lb isn't a lot to throw on a box.

UPS has to be the worst I have ever seen. I think Fedex is a lot better but might just be my area.

I ordered an asus 25 inch monitor form newegg, and I was not home at the time, but there was this huge hole in the box right in the middle facing the LCD screen. I was so pisst when I saw it and thought for sure it would be broken I guess I was really lucky. If i was home when it got delivered I would have refused it.
