Sigh* What's happening to Newegg?!

As much as I have used NewEgg over the last 3 or 4 years... probably 30+ orders... id say 20-25 of them came with something broken or DOA ...

And more recently I realized that Microcenter's prices are often better by 5-20%....

Oh well frown.gif

There prices are certainly competitive with newegg and I don't pay sales tax.

In the US they dont instantly go through with debit, still a 2 day wait tongue.gif

I think it is fairly recent - within a year or two.

its tough to "speak to a manager" over the phone. i never seem to get anywhere. plus the customer is no longer always right. especially in the age of people trying to cheat companys out of more and more money via lawsuits and false claims.

that being said thats pretty upsetting since i consider newegg THE spot to go to. i wonder if the resurgence of PC games has caused them to be like this?

Eh I'd take customer service, free shipping and price match over Newegg any day. Even if you do get a 2 day delay for US, NCIX has the advantage of being a retail store therefor you get better service and reps with social skill.

I have to agree that many people are cheating companies in the world we live in today. However, I have been a loyal customer shopping at Newegg for years. I have been praising them left and right on forums and defending them. But I guess they wouldn't know that part.

The NCIX customer representative that called me about a long order delay spoke perfect English and understood what he was doing. He offered to waive a $11 shipping charge. It was a pleasant surprise. Please note, I did not even contact them about the delay...they called me.

I wish their website was easier to navigate though. I hope their customer service stays top notch :)
