If you have a PS3 controller or haven't bought a 360 USB controller yet I have a good piece of software you could use to emulate a 360 controller using the PS3 one. I use it and I haven't had any problems with it.

I play GTA IV with the 360 controller, and as blasphemous as it may sound, even BF3. FPSs always felt more natural to me with a controller.
