Buy the Dell U2412, it is much better and similarly priced.

MenacingTuba is wrong

U2412 = E-IPS
ZR24W = S-IPS

ZR24W alternative is Dell U2410

Let me guess an HP ZR24W owner wants to defend their purchase rolleyes.gif

x/y/z IPS does not matter, not does the bit depth since the U2412 has proper FRC, like most other 6 bit IPS panels.

The ZR24W has horrid contrast (500:1 vs U2412's 1000:1) which can't be corrected w/o sacrificing shadow detail and gamma. Unless one owns a colorimeter it can't be corrected which is why it should not be recommended.

I would tend to agree with Tuba here. The u2412m is a better monitor overall.

Okay well is $329 a good deal for a u2412m?
