[G4] Kevin Pereira Leaving Attack Of The Show - Page 7

just leave it on! it's not like u actually pay attention while you're on your PC anyways!

We stopped watching G4 because it took a nose dive around late '05/early '06 from programming aimed at gamers and enthusiasts to long drags of Cheaters, Cops, bits of Ninja Warrior, and in between all that there was X-Play and AOTS, the latter of which obviously was never anywhere near what The Screen Savers had been. As soon as Kevin Rose left, the producers were free to run it into the ground and that's exactly what they did. With Pereira leaving the show and Sessler already gone, it'll become a mere husk and they'll need to do something drastic to get anything of quality back. If they want the viewers back, they have to go back to their roots and be a gaming and enthusiast network and have programming that reflects that. Even the web originals they had on Cinematech and CT: Nocturnal Emissions were better than most animated content I've seen on other networks (along with roughly half of what was featured on the Happy Tree Friends and Friends block), I have no idea why they dropped that.

Amen.

As soon as they dropped TSS, I stopped watching the channel. Dont remember if it was the switch to G4 from tech TV, but i really miss tech tv and TSS. I would love to have a show like that now.

Tis a shame, really, I loved that show.

How so?

I really don't understand how everyone here is hating on Kevin and AOTS so hard. I've been watching TechTV, and then G4, for close to 8 years now, so I know all about what shows were in the past, and how the station has heavily evolved from its roots. But I've always loved AOTS, and especially Kevin. I have had no heat at all to Olivia, Candice, Sara, or anyone on that show.

It's a open world broadcast (as I like to call it), and that's what I've always loved about it. It's live, and its not like a lot of other programs where they just read the teleprompter and thats it. Everyone in the back is laughing, and I feel it's a job that everyone just loves to come and do, since it just feels like you're hanging out.

I'm actually pretty saddened by Kevin leaving. I have watched AOTS every single day for years now, except for a few occasions, and I honestly don't see how I can continue watching without Kevin.

this is the wrong mentality.
a lot people stopped watching when they started playing these crap filler shows.so why would you want to promote it by giving that crap ratings?

if they had more shows like TSS or xplay or AOTS then they would just have the ratings.

Maybe both Pereira and Sessler will start a show on Leo Laporte's network, Twit.tv? I can wish, can't I? Haha!

To be honest, I haven't watched G4 since a year or so after they took over TechTV. So I don't mind this one bit.
