Is my build enough to run next-gen games smoothly?

I'm going to build a pc for first time, i know pretty much about it. I can't pass 600$ and i think i will buy these:

Aerocool X-Warrior Mesh MidTower Case | High Power 500W PSU (High Power is a brand its weird but it is) | INTEL Core i3-2120 3.3GHz | AsRock Z77 PRO3 | Corsair Vengeance 4GB DDR3 1600MHz CL9 | ASUS GTX550 Ti DirectCU | Seagate 500 GB 7200 RPM 16 MB Cache 3,5" SATA III

i think its good enough but i want to still consider professionals...

btw i have os,dvd-rom and other stuff im only going to buy case and hardware.. sorry for my english smile.gif
Edit: i might play on 720p or higher depending on system usage of game, i don't want to go below 35 fps..

"High Power 500W PSU" - I suggest you change that.
Also, GTX 550Ti is not enough for next-gen games. I own one, I know smile.gif
You need 570 / 560 (448) at least.

I agree with ronnin. You should get a 560ti at least. My backup computer which has a 560ti barely ran skyrim on high. I guess the question is do you need the graphics settings to be maxed or just capable of running.

You'll need more than 4GB of RAM too, get 8GB. It's practically the new standard for memory.

I too highly recommend getting a name-brand power supply, you don't want a cheap one that will fry your components one day!

What resolution do you play your games at? If I were you, I would save some more money and bump up that 550 Ti and get a 560 Ti, a very capable card.

BF3 is one of the VERY FEW games that will use more than 4GB, but 8 is pretty cheap.

do you guys think the i3 is enough?

or should he be going with an i5 2500k for the 4 cores ( i know the i3 has hyper threading ) and the overclocking headroom.

The CPU doesn't make huge gains unless you are running multi GPU setups. Even the Sandybridge Pentiums hold their own vs their much more expensive brethren.

Also wouldn't a GTX 460 be better for him at around the same price?
