It didn't help in Skyrim! I'm installing Saintrow now. Will test performance in it. Should I do something in 3d application settings? I mean should I make a profile or something? I haven't touched it so far tongue.gif

Hmmm...
Saintrow: Crossfire disabled @ 1920x1080 ultra settings = 25-35 FPS / enabled = 35-65 FPS thumb.gif sooo maybe my rig is fine but games I'm playing sux? rolleyes.gif Has anyone discovered same problems in Skyrim? It's new game but maybe multi-gpu is not supported? It has newest updates but still can play with single card much better... And GRID... why I can't set resolution over 1280x1024 with crossfire enabled? and with smaller resolution less FPS in crossfire? mad.gif And GTA 4... oh... thats Nightmare of them all... in display settings with xfire enabled I see my 3gb video memory but I can use 800x600 only and get error that my memory is exeeded... biggrin.gif

some games not support CFX setup very well.but you can try to force it if you using catalyst 12.xx..open catalyst looking for application profile than create one,put the exe file for the game, change Amd crossfireX mode to optimize 1x1 or AFR friendly then hit apply..that help me on lot games..
for GTA 4 you can create "commandLine.txt" put -nomemrestrict inside then save inside gta4 folder..

My single 480:

See the difference between the two now?

I think your issue is microstutter, 6xxx is well known for this issue.

GTA 4 you can create "commandLine.txt"
Yes I found this info as well but I'm not playing gta normally! I just run it to test my new config!

I get that microstuttering as well... thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif I get it nearly in all games, even if its running 100+fps its stutter sometimes.

At moment I'm playing Skyrim. This engine is well known as trouble causer for multi gpus... but after reinstalling all drivers and application profile I'm playing solid 60fps (its limited) on ultra hight... just microstutter sometimes!

Still can't play warface... flickering as hell. Grid is not working as well. Can't set normal resolution with cfx in grid.

Only 6850 cfx is causing headache?

"Graphics: MSI R6850 Cyclone edition 1gb (factory overclocked HD6850) and Sapphire HD6850 2gb CrossXfired"

1st mistake is your hardware is two completely different GPU Cards, with entirely different PCB's and electronics, these often cause Glitches, and hardware/software problems, in CF to run smoothly, if both exact same cards NOT used in CrossXFire Configuration. - (2nd is your VRAM which I will mention below)...

Also another very important *NOTE* is one crucial oversight (That would be your VRAM in One card is 1GB and the other Card is 2GB). Now I do NOT claim to be God nor have all the answers to whats really going on, with your setup.

However, I CAN CLEARLY SEE A NUMBER OF FAULTS that should have been addressed. (I'm sorry if I appear to be condescending, because I do not mean to be so, - so I apologize). thumb.gifsmile.gifsmile.gif

When going SLI for example (which is want I'm doing) both cards must be identical for the Nvidia software/drivers to work at their best intent. I also have limited experience in CrossXfire setups, and again its the same rule of thumb, both cards should be identical. Others may have a Go at me, and say No they do NOT need to be identical, I would have to disagree with 20+yrs experience, please its all common sense, not rocket science here folks.

Analogy (1). when buying a factory paired, Memory Pre packaged setup, they are tested in the factory by one human being, individual, & by a machine to confirm they are a matching pair, and from the same batch, so you get what you pay for etc.

That's for a reason so they work in your mother board, one they are delivered, or once you BUY and take them home. follow me.? smile.gif

I think you are a bright enough man, for having the courage to ask for help... so for a lot of (members / people) have helped you in REPLYING to your plea for help.

I hope you have been able to finally fix the problem. By all this Time, as there are a lot of bright people in this room, perhaps brighter than myself, I hope even my reply may help others that may read.. smile.gif

Thanks for reading, Take care,

Thanks for an answer! My CF problems are not fixed yet redface.gif Well at moment I'm stuck on a game witch is running 120fps with 3388x1920 resolution with a single card so I'm not rushing to do something with my setup but yeah... still problems. I tried NFS Shift 2 in CF, flickering few details in there as well like sun (annoying) spectators stands and others. I guess u are right about that. I'm not specialist in electronics but cards are completely differrent in size and everything else. As fas I did know when I bought them wqas that should be same gpu. I was thinking that 6850 will be, no matter what brand are they. And VRAm, o yes biggrin.gif I didn't know I will get lowest cards specs anyway, so I thought 3gb (2+1) will be better than 2x1gb cards.
what I would like to hear is: does anyone running CF 6850's has any problems, like flickering in games like NFS Shift 2, Warface or any else? If it's just my rig, I will get rid of my cyclone and will get second sapphire 2gb. If it's not only for me, than than... than I will cry in a corner for about hour and will try to live with it how it is for a year or so till next update... biggrin.gif
Thanks for an answer agen Geekerdom.Very much appreciated. thumb.gif
