I have been wanting the sapphire 7850 for a while and Thursday I will have the money and so of course it's sold out so my question is should I just get a different brand or wait it out? Is so on another brand which one I'm trying to stay at or below $250 thanks for the help in advanced

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161406 Best RMA experience I've had with any company.

I would avoid Powercolor and Diamond like the plague; they both have absolutely terrible coolers on their basic 7850s. The HIS and Visiontek are a step up, though not as good as the dual-fan cards. I'd also go for the HIS, though they are currently OOS. That rebate + price is hard to beat, and it should OC just fine. I'd get a Sapphire for $235-$240 after rebate (if one existed) over the HIS, but that doesn't exist and it'd hard to grab the sapphire anyway. I'd need at least that price to get a gigabyte (actually $230 AR considering what I've heard about the fans) over the HIS. Honestly, the Powercolor would have to be $210 or less to tempt me (and I trust Diamond less, so lower); I'd pay $225 for the Visiontek because of the warranty (but not much more unless it transfers).

Again, all of the above are after rebate (even though only the HIS currently has a rebate; and except the Diamond because I don't trust that company for a second, so it would have to be dirt cheap before rebate). I can't believe anyone would ever buy a Diamond 7850; I don't know how they price that terrible card with a straight face.

I can't offer much about them, except I wouldn't value the warranty unless I planned on keeping the card for more than 2 years. I don't know how good their cooling is - I know some of their dual-fan models are underwhelming (and at least one of them in the 6000 series had misaligned heatsinks, leading to hotspots that undermined the overall solid cooling performance for the rest of the card), but I really don't know much about their 7850s. I'd have to read some great things in comparison to the sapphires to pay the extra for the XFX personally.

I would avoid XFX too many bad stories about their RMA service on this board. Most notable http://www.overclock.net/t/761201/xfx-at-it-again-warranty-denial

Wow! Ive been absolutely thrilled with my sapphire 7850. Runs very cool and quiet. But its not worth $319.

An ASUS 7850 for $260 (free shipping). That cooler got excellent reviews. A solid choice i think.
