Yeah 7850 supply is not so great. People are snatching them up because of overclocking potential too.

If you are considering upping your budget, maybe you can snatch a gtx 670 for $399.

Goodness people, stop recommending the Powercolor. It has a terrible cooler. Quit putting the HIS and Visiontek in the same category. There are roughly 3 tiers of 7850s: Powercolor/Diamond, HIS/Visiontek, and the dual-fan coolers.

The HIS is back in stock at Newegg. Its cooler should be plenty for 1100Mhz GPU core overclock confidently, and likely more based on what I've heard. This IMO is a no-brainer.

Edit: HIS is OOS again, just listed as in stock on the 7850 page (that annoys me). Just refresh the website every half-hour tomorrow, starting at around 8am PST. I've been watching that card, and it comes in fairly often. Also, refreshing seems to get you to the card sooner than the auto-notifications.

I think the 7870 isn't a great buy unless it is around $300, maybe little more if good cooler. Personally, if I'm going to drop $350, I would just pay a little more for a 7950. Some recently sold for about $380, don't know about current prices.
