You can put your e-peen where ever you want... yourself and the prophets of ignorance sodomized this thread, made the wisdom chasing OP buy an expensive PSU he does not need and will not use to its full potential... a high end 750W unit(one that you obviously didn't pay for) for a system with a theoretical maximum load of ~450W and a typical one well below 350W... so you might as well write him PMs to apologize... before or after you decide where to put your e-peens... I suggest somewhere edgy and sharp.

That's a very good sample, or you're obviously lying.

I have no reason to lie, my temperatures are irrelevant to anyone here besides myself, but as I've said previously, my tower sits right next to one of my central air vents so it gets a nice supply of cool air being sucked into the radiator

I don't know about others but I made a suggestion based on my past experiences and recommended a quality higher wattage PSU for future proofing and better longevity which I stated ... not only that but we never had a gun to his head either ...

bottom line is that pulling 350-450w everyday off a 500w psu is never a good idea unless you know of a 500w 80plus gold psu's that is worth the price tag

And your smart aleck rebuttals to everyones genuine response of recommendation doesn't put you in that class of people who "sodomized" this thread? You have stooped at every chance possible here, hypocrite.

These power supply recommendation threads are a dime a dozen... you have the one guy who recommends the lowest possible unit that would safely supply the OP's system then you have a few other guys tacking an additional 100 watts on top of that bare minimum then in turn catching claims of "ignorance" and "stupidity" for doing so. I stand by my rec of 650 and still think it's the sweet spot in this situation.

If you check my posts in this thread you'll find out I haven't actually made any specific recommendations.... in fact I only stated he needs a 500W(or above) unit, probably above since there aren't many 500W units with 4x PCIe connectors. wink.gif

So tell me, what would you pick between these three similarly priced units?
Kingwin LZP 550
Corsair HX 650
Seasonic M12II 650

Either the Seasonic or HX-650 (which is also a Seasonic) but this is probably a trick becuase the Kingwin is probably the same story as the Corsair (a Seasonic build)

Edit: But looking at that Kingwin I would totally trust that with the OP's system as well. 45.5A 12V rail on a 80+ platinum is a super strong 550. Point taken.

The Kingwin is literally the best PSU on the market at that output level, it's incomparably better than both Seasonic built units... it can function as a 650W Gold unit or a 700W+ Silver unit(still Gold at 230v)... it offers better regulation, better output quality, responds better to transient loads, it overloads far better than anything Seasonic builds, it's of superior built quality and higher end components.... it's also dead silent and has a fanless operation mode that will not see the fan spinning until you hit ~500W loads(>550W on 230v circuits) which will never happen with the hardware he listed... so essentially he'd have a fanless unit for all intents and purposes.

That's why you don't go for higher wattage.. but for higher quality.
