Lapped Q9650, 160gb Velociraptor HHDs

Thread Starter
Ive got a few things I'd like to find the price of, if you could suggest some numbers, I would appreciate it.

Intel Q9650, lapped
-It can hit 4ghz on watercooling, but isnt stable, Ive run it at 3.6ghz @ 1.3v for all of its live. I did some runs when I first got it to see what it could do, and without hardly any effort on my part, settled on 3.6ghz. It's an E0 revision, and works great, runs cool even under load.

Western Digital 160gb Velociraptor
-Yes, 160gb.. 10,000 rpm, velociraptor branded hard drives. They run fine, no problems with raid 0 since Ive owned them.

If you could tell me what you think those are worth, Id appreciate it.

Also, is DDR2 worth anything, really?

Intel Q9650 - $150 - $170 to the right buyer it would be a nice upgrade on thier 775 rig IMO tho sub $150 is probably more acurate, see what others say...
Western Digital 160gb Velociraptor - $40 each or say around $70 - $75 for a pair
your RAM (2x 2GB G.skill DDR2-1000) around - $15 - $20

Intel Q9650 - i'm surprised a Q9650 E0 wasn't stable at 4ghz. but anyways, it's still worth ~$150 imo.

2x 2GB G.skill DDR2-1000 (PC2-8000) - $35

just cause its a core 2 quad, maybe $150, even thou its worth less (phenom ii x4 is way better, costs like $100) ddr2, worthless. now that velocirapor is something. 320 gbs, raided, 10,000rpm. might be able to pull off $80-100 on someone who needs more space then a 60gb ssd.

I agree with stubass' appraisal.

On another note, I disagree that the Phenom II x4 is way better. I've owned one, and know from experience that it trades blows with the Q9650. Also: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/362?vs=49

Yeah, Phenom IIs are quite similar to Q9x50 is terms of perfomance.

Thanks for the comments guys, good to know.

It's been a while since I overclocked the Q9650, I have 4.11 ghz in my signature, so I guess that's as far as I got with it. For some reason I want to say that it took 1.55vcore to get it, but It's been more than a year, and I havent touched the overclock settings in that long. At some point I needed it to be stable, I picked 3.6ghz arbitrarily and 1.3v, and it's been running that fast since. It might not even need that much, I just didnt care enough to change it.

Thanks again for the appraisals, Ill be listing this stuff probably monday or tuesday, when Ill be upgrading to a new 3570k.
