What would a GTX470 be compared to in the 500 series? I have been told the 480 is neck and neck with a 570. Would that make the 470 neck and neck with a 560?

All in all great cooler for the money and has always worked reliably. Excellent for a backup cooling system or for low-cost budget computers, while still being able to overclock.

Basically it goes back and forth with a 560 Ti depending on the overclock. The 560ti is also quieter and less power hungry than a 470.

The 560 is the die shrink of the 470. But if you OC a 470 well enough they CAN be on par with a 570. However you almost are guaranteed to need water to OC the the 470 that high.

No, the 560 is not a die shrink of the 470. They are both manufactured with a 40 nm process. The 560 is a faster clocked 460; the 560 ti is a fully enabled GF104 core. GF104 is more oriented towards gaming and less towards GPGPU, that is also why they are less power hungry.
OP: the GTX 470 is comparable to the GTX 560 ti.

No, 480's are 209$ shipped on newegg right now. Cheaper, and since you have a water cooling set up you can crank that 480 up!

Yeah I am actually possibly getting it cheaper. Still awaiting to hear from the person I am trying to buy it off of. He is just waiting to hear evga about his RMA. =X I just hope it doesn't fall through and I pass on other options. How ever his is best right now. I get the 480 brand new from evga rma, a gpu universal water block, and vram heat sinks for about 200.
