Everyone is probably waiting for reviews before buying a 670. Especially a reference card.

I am skipping this generation as well. No sense in dropping 400$ on a card when my 480 handles everything i throw at it thumb.gif

I doubt it handles everything you throw at it in full. If you said my 480 handles everything at medium-high with lower resoutlion then ye believable. I hate it when someone comes in and goes my 460 still handles EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! etc.

My 480 is overclocked to 580 speeds right now... It does handle every game i have played on it with general ease except metro 2033... But as far as bf3 skyrim goes i play on ultra/high at 1920x1080 at 60fps constant. So, yes, I would say a 480 is still a relevant card.

PS: Do you understand that my 480 is just as fast as your 6970 at stock clocks? Sure, they trade blows in some benchmarks. But they generally have the same performance.

First previews starting to come in. Nvidia’s GTX 670: Apparently Faster than AMD's Entire Lineup...

No wonder why AMD 7970 is going to get an increase to core clock to 1000 MHz. Doesn't change the over clock ratio but at least tech reviews that do stock vs stock it doesn't get beat up so bad.

Nice price point per performance at $409 for reference 670. I'd get a 670 for better performance before a 7950 for same price. Only move AMD can make is to lower the 7950 pricing now to compete in price performance over sheer raw performance. Still good for true AMD fans wallets.

May 10th for full reviews and release date. The entire 600 series is hard launches only. No paper launches. I kind of like that better only because of the uninformed opinions prior to any launch before the facts are actually in.
