Thread Starter
thing is that rig had sum problems..like when my buddy whos rig it is,inserted a cd ..it just restarted..he came to me,i saw a "tired" windows and i said ...reinstall. soh ..i put the bootable in,it won't boot...go into bios, set sum ***** save&exit bla bla...after POST it appears "boot from cd"...and then reboots itself ( ..changed cd drive ,cuz i tought that is the problem...now it won't even reach POST....monitor is blank, and the bios clicks not beeps like the seconds counter on an analog watch...mobo doesn't have a fuc**n bios jumper,i removed battery..but when i put it back nothing changes

thanks in advance

1. no cursing
2. when you remove the battery, make sure to turn the PSU off, but push the power button a few times to try and get power going, but it just resets BIOS.

Try and make your post make more sense mate..It helps us to help you.

Anyway what you need to do is RESET your CMOS. To do this do the following.

1. Unplug your computer from the mains after shutdown and hold in the onn button on your case to discharge all leftover power.

2. Look to your motherboard and remove the little battery on it for 2 mins. fter the allowed tim insert the battery again and boot up.

After this you need to go into the BIOS and set your Optical drive such as your DVD/CDROM drive to be the 1st boot drive.

But that ticking from the bios is worrying me..i never heard that before
