SABERTOOTH AMD 990FX(AM3+) irql_not_less_or_equal BSOD

Thread Starter
Hello everyone,

I bought a Sabertooth motherboard over the weekend and installed it late last night, along with a new AMDFX8150 CPU. I upgraded from a Crosshair IV extreme and an AMD Phenom II. I was able to install it and do a fresh install of windows on it. However, I'm getting very frequent and random STOP errors. They are almost never the same. I cannot replicate it, nor can I tell when they will occur. I've tried reinstalling windows and the drivers again to no avail. The latest error I got was a 0xd1 code, and I believe it said tcpip.sys as well.

I've searched around on the interwebz and have heard that the Realtek NIC driver is either out of date or incompatible with the motherboard. Is this true? If so, how would I go about making sure I get the correct one, and I stop these very frustrating blue screens. I don't understand why they would put a faulty NIC driver in with the provided driver disk? Or how any of my other components could cause this error.

Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. I am currently at work so I have no access to any of the DMP files. Sorry.

hello,
bsod's in book are mostly caused by ram issues, please test your ram using memtest on a usb stick.
http://www.memtest.org/
i would test each strip individually.

ram issues could also be related to ram slots or memory controller on the cpu,but ram is the first thing to check and then try running single stick or single channel config.
