And how does that cpu compare with the i3-2100?

Honestly, not a clue, just basing it off of newegg reviews, which looked pretty good. Also I editted my post with a dual graphics llano build, completely unsure of the performance on that one though, I'd let the other posters decide. All I was doing was throwing a pretty decent cheap build out.

I'll stick with the i3. My total with tax turns out to $437.19

I'm gonna use the one that is already in their old computer. I was told it's a DVD drive they put in last year, so it should work.

I'd go with a mini ITX build with an i3/i5 to be honest. Running on Ivy bridge. With networked projectors, fairly sure a cheapo board should run 2x projectors and a screen. If not get a cheapo graphics card. rolleyes.gif

4GB of ram, buy a 128GB M4 and a 450W corsair PSU. Along with a singular nice silent fan.

Maybe a non-stock cooler to keep noises low when the machine gets filled with dust? Quite obviously no LED's tongue.gif

External HDD? You don't want to get a virus or anything on the machine and lose everything! Maybe get an old laptop drive and a USB enclosure for backups and a 160GB HDD for Internal? Depending on your needs you may want a soundcard too.

To keep the cost low i'd stick with a base i3 model and maybe even 2GB of ram. Get the samsung 30nm stuff and clock the crap out of it! tongue.gif

I know my ex's church had a build from a local PC shop, it's just an i5 and 4GB ram.

on topic: i would go with an amd phenom or one of the new bulldozer cpus get the combo mobo and if it doesnt come with ram grab 4-8gb depending on the prices. snag a crucial m4 and a 250-500gb hdd for storing all there files and important stuff. get a 400-450w psu depending on what you can find, get a nice small case and grab an h60. call it a day
