Any Silent Death Online players?

Just curious if anyone else played Silent Death Online as much as I did back in the day. I miss the game so much and would give just about anything to have it come back in all of its former glory!

Sigma+DC+, House Colos.

So many good memories with that game!

Yes, I was huge into that game back in the day. Use to run up $100 monthly bills back when AOL started charging $1.99 an hour. Played on the green team and competed in the clan wars every friday. My name was Danil and was part of the TC clan and spent a little time with GT as well. We were always the underdog, but me and a few other guys carried the clan and won quite a few.

Then EA bought it out and cancelled the game. I guess they haven't changed all of these years. Still hate them for that reason. I wonder what it would cost to buy rights to that game.

I loved that game.

It was a sad day when it was taken down. Personally, I think that was a real mistake, so much potential there. Unfortunately, the client / server security issue that allowed the rampant hacking was not easily resolvable.

Every once in a while, I wake up in the morning and threaten to write a new version of that game and just put it up as a free to play game. But i never do. Does anyone know if anyone has attempted to do that?

Dude, I was PLaZmA+DC+!

I still remember all the fun we had back in those days, I still remember old Sax Timeracer smile.gif

They really need to make another game like it!

This was one of my favorite games back in the day. I had the hardest time looking up the name. Apparently many people forgot the name too. I wish someone would remake the game again.

There is a website called zerovector where they are working on a remake. I haven't checked it out in a while but they were trying.

Last I checked they were dead, and this was a couple of years ago.

Hmmm, you are right. I did some googling and another bunch (or maybe the same guys under a different name) call shattered labs have done a beta release of the zero vector game as of June 2012. I downloaded it but when I tried to play I got a message saying the beta version is out of date....
