Hey guys. I setup a set of forums at silentdeath.org to get people back together.

As for zero vector. I was talking to the people in charge of it and it was mostly a college project. They were hoping to finish the project and do a full launch, but I didn't get to talk to them too much after the Beta launch and it seems like they eventually got caught up with something else. The Beta seemed to finally die about a year and a half ago after the main project stopped getting updated about two years ago.

Hi guys,

somewhat of a thread resurrection, sorry about that.

I just thought to put it out there that I found a game that at least on the surface seems rather similar to SDO. It goes by the name of Gimbal.
It is an indie game with an online only mode, you can customize your ships, choose different hulls, it has mouse and keyboard controls and the levels I've seen are rather empty unlike Cosmic Rift or SubSpace levels.

In any case if anyone is interested in this, check out Indiegamestand.com they are running a promo period currently, alternatively you can pick it up via gimbalgame.com.

And before anyone asks, I don't work for either company, I saw the game, remembered this thread and though I'd post for your enjoyment thumb.gif

Sorry for bringing this thread back to life. Been searching for years for a new SDO but havent been able to find anything.

I first started playing on AOL as Icewarrior then when it moved to EA i became ICE .

Spent hours playing this game.
