If you are planning to upgrade, I would put off the watercooling. I do not plan or need to upgrade my SLi setup, not for awhile anyways.

I really was set. But since i've read SO many complaints of 7970 owners, constantly in the AMD graphics card forums people are crashing, not being able to install and just issue after issue - starting to want to go green team.

Also, I'm expecting the 670 here to be about $600+. The 690 is $1600.

I don't feel I need to yet, but I really have no idea how much longer this bad boy will last. I also love my silent setup and knowing my parts are well taken care of with great temps.

I also just find building pc's fun. Overclocking, designing, working on aesthetics only I will notice. I do this with everything, everything I own is overkill. tongue.gif Also, with my new technical engineering traineeship at a laser cutting company, my builds might get a whole lot crazier. Even looking at designing my own blocks if my boss will source me copper thumb.gif

I would w/c it, why buy another one if u are happy with it? Just upgrade when the next gen of video cards are out insted. I just bought a waterblock for my 570 too, couldn't be happierwith that decission smile.gif

I'm planning on waterbricking my 6970s' because they do everything fine at the moment, i'd keep the 6950 until the GK110 drops

do you already have a watercooling system in place? I don't see anything in your sig frown.gif

I don't have one yet, but I have an H80 for my CPU and 2 Antec 620's for my 480's. The Antec's definitely helped with the noise and the temps, but everything is very cluttered and I feel the poor placement of the radiators cause poor circulation for the rest of my case. My second PC, which is an Antec 900 over the 1200 that house my main rig, has AMAZING air flow.

For me, the watercooling will cost 2 blocks plus the loop.

@Ace: Love the logical thinking, thanks mate

@Rainbow: Havn't heard anything about the GK110, I thought it was supposed to be dual GPU? Not going down the crossfire/sli route again.. tongue.gif

@Dalast: Yeah I do. I have my RX360 w/ AP15's + XSPC fans in push/pull, my Rasa CPU block, I've got my res/pump XSPC combo, an additional swiftech mcp655 variable speed pump with EK top on order as well as a RX240 rad on order.

I would go with watercooling the card you have. with the exception of BF3 you should be maxing out all the games you listed so watercool and overclock to satisfy that upgrade itch for a while. (It's inevitable though, you will upgrade well before you need to... we all do)

Overall we're saying it's not worth it. Or at least me, IMO.
