Do they DESERVE to be taken advantage of? probabaly not. This wasn't like a ponzi scheme where people were blindsided and lost all of their savings. Investing is 99.9999999% of the time completely legit, and these poor people got scammed and lost a lifetime worth of savings. The people in the article on the other hand entered their personal information into a POP UP. Did they get takan advantage of? no, because they lost nothing, except a minute of their time.
Do I hate ads? hell yes. But when they pop up, i simply close them, like the rest of the world.
If i could send out an add to facebook that would make me millions of dollars a month, i absolutely would. As for being moral and ethical, these aren't blood diamonds here, its personal info that could readily be obtained in other ways, so who cares.
