That is a Clarkdale processor, 1st generation Core. Although even with that it is quicker than your AX2.

That chip will still bend your Athlon II over its knee and spank it. tongue.gif That i3 is capable of 4.0-4.5GHz with a decent P55 board. That chip will also beat up the Core 2 Quads from the 775 platform as well.

There's no reason for you to spend ANY money on 775 hardware (especially a board), when you've got a good clocking i3 setting there doing nothing. P55 boards aren't that expensive. DDR3 is dirt cheap.

If you have no money, sell off your other equipment. You can EASILY get enough out of the stuff you've listed to build that i3 setup into something amazing. Get rid of your 775 gear, the DDR2, the Athlon II setup, the 4670, the 8800's.....dude you could build something amazing out of that money. GTX 460, P55 board, decent air cooler (CM 212+), some cheap DDR3 (even just 4GB of it), and enjoy a very nice i3 setup that'll destroy most gaming.

I'd love to, But alas I cannot sell stuff on here. I don't have the reputation points for it sadly. Almost all of my parts are new (New motherboard, New heatsink, new RAM, etc) I just can't sell it anywhere else. eBay is too time consuming and requires a credit Card, Craigslist is full of scammers / low ballers.

So that's why I haven't sold any of it yet. And P55 boards? What brand is that? Would you be kind enough to link me to a good seller of that board?

P55 is the chipset used on the board. Brands include the likes of Asus, AsRock, BioStar, EVGA, MSi, etc.

Your best bet would be to put them on Craigslist, just don't list an e-mail address and that prevents the scams, put a phone number up for people to actually call.

Not to mention my local craigslist is... rather, dead. I've tried selling stuff on there before. I wish I could gain the needed 35+ REP on here, but I don't have anything worth sharing, And stuff I do is already posted, Or something I got from here a while back.

What does a used Core 2 Extreme QX6700 go for anyways? eBay was all over the place, And so was google.

A few bucks. Sometimes free, a friend owns a technology recycling center and sees all sorts of things come through, the older tech comes in abundance.

I've been on the same 'rep-earning' mission, basically, hover over the 'Forum' link at the top of the page, and a drop down menu should appear, click 'Unanswered' and get answering!
