As per your recommendation of getting a card equivalent to two in Crossfire I thought this one looked pretty good:

http://www.scan.co.uk/products/2gb-asus-hd-6950-directcu-ii-pci-e-21(x16)-5000mhz-gddr5-gpu-810mhz-1408-cores-dvi-dp-eyefinity-x6

However I will probably have to get it else where as I don't know if scan will get it back in stock.

Just had a quick look on ebay and it has other 6950 2Gb cards for about £70 less heres the page I was looking at:

I would definitally recommend a HIS IceQ X Model. They run extremely cool, and Extremely Quiet.

Mine stays at about 50c on a hot day while gaming, and about 65c while running Stress on Furmark, both with the fan speed at 50% (which you cannot really hear)

Also. I'd stay away from the Asus, they are just too big, and if you want to go crossfire with them you will need a board with specifically spaces PCI-E slots.

You are wrong I'm afraid the 6950 is only around £160 second hand, a NEW 7870 is way over what I want to pay coming in at £260 and a second hand one is the same. The maximum I will pay for a new graphics card until I get a proper job (e.g after college or Uni) is £200.
