Heatspreader for Samsung 30nm memory?

So I finally decided on my RAM for my upgrade that's been ongoing... I pull the trigger on two sticks of this:

 

Samsung 4GB DDR3 Cas11

 

All the reviews state that these are great overclockers and smaller in side that standard DDR3 models (60nm I belive). 

 

So that got me thinking, if I wanted to buy some heat spreaders for them later down the road, do standard sized heat spreaders fit these models? Or am I going to be stuck with active cooling?

Any kind of cooling is unnecesary for these sticks. Mine are running 1600 MHZ CAS 8 @ 1.45v, and when i touch them i wonder if they're working as they feel colder than the rest of my case.

Also, i doubt there is a heatsink for half-height RAM, unless you cut it youerself.

Oh I know they won't need cooling, but I'm really picky about how my setup looks while it just sits on my desk and I would love some blue heat spreaders to match my motherboard... hahaha

 

But! I ordered a blue led memory cooling fan, so that should be just fine for now. ^_^

Well, you could get some cheapo heatspreaders off ebay, dremel them to half height, repaint and use thermal tape.

Aesthetic-wise, you could do anything as they barely get warm. IMHO, they look good already, the black PCB helps. At least it's not green biggrin.gif
