FX-8120 Stability issues. - Page 3

This is the last time I am saying this.. The socket temperature DOES NOT MATTER.

CORES ONLY. thumb.gif Ignore the socket temp warning. I had an Asus thermal software thing on my other board with my 2500K and it would always give me warnings about my temperature being under negative C, which was crap. It's just junk.

The cores are rated at 61C, yes. The SOCKET can be over that, it doesn't matter AT ALL!

Keep your cores around 55C at load for 24/7 and you'll be fine.

ok thank you. i kept hearing whichever one is the highest so thanks for setting it straight

EDIT: without push/pull fans (yet), max temp under load is 51C. Not going to worry about the mobo anymore since i realized how off they can really be such as 70C for socket and ~88C for VCORE-1 and yet the MAINBOARD reads 36C so im just posting this to prove your point about it being trash... and this is prime 95 and ive yet to find a game that stresses the CPU like prime 95...
