[EVGA] Sneak peek of the 680 classy - Page 13

Okay, I misread what you said when I glanced over it. I thought you were saying that voltage modification wouldn't help and that 1400 was typical.

My bad! edited post. I'm not so sure about 1.5ghz though - some asus cards can already be voltage modded, 1 guy at HardOCP modded his (asus DC2 680) and put it on water. It got around 1350 or something like that. I would like to see what others can do for sure though....he had to use a universal block so his VRM temps were probably not as good as they could have been.

I do not believe 1.4ghz is that crazy of an overclock with more power phases and unlocked voltage control. My GTX 670 is stable at 1.32ghz and can bench even higher than that. The TDP is in the low 90's(max power is 111%) and temp dont go past 66c. Some of the better cards are almost there without any fancy gadgets or configurations.

Why does it matter where it is released? The fact is that it EXISTS.

Since it does exist there is no reason any gtx 680 with voltage control and extra vrm phases can't do the same......(i.e. gtx 680 classy).

The card in the pictures has a blower type fan which is completely different from the radial fans used on that SC. Two blower fans would be counterproductive.
