[EVGA] Sneak peek of the 680 classy - Page 3

$700? The regular hydro card is $700. How much you want to bet this card will be $799 in the hydro version?

I can't see this card costing less than $700 if EVGA sells SC/SC+ versions for ~$50 ish more. If this card has voltage controls and other hardware enhancements, I definitely see it in the $650-700 range. And then a waterblock on top of it, or getting the Hydro version will cost about $800 total yeah. That's insane...and other than having fun benchmarking and pushing these bad boys, those looking for THAT much performance out of one card can get exponentially more with something like a pair of 670s or heck, might as well spring for a pair of standard 680s or a 690 (if you can find them) if you're going to dabble in that price range for just one GPU... wink.gif

My only take on this card, aside from price, is that i am 80% sure that you will not be able to adjust voltages without evbot frown.gif. With evbot you will be able to change the voltage via bios directly, not drivers like normal use of AB/precision.

And if the 4g ftw costs 650, this card is definitely a 700 and the HC version will be almost 850$s. Just a few bucks from the 690.

I'll be the first one to say it. Do not want. I'd prefer the 670 for the small PCB and nice price tag.

But it wouldn't be overkill, because you would surpass the performance of whatever this card can hope to achieve with even the best OC + overvolting with a pair of 670s for less. thumb.gif
