worth it to upgrade?

Thread Starter
my reasons are 2 fold. 1 to help my CPU temps, I want to get 5.0 stable on my 2500K and I can, but temps are a little too high for my liking. 2 is I want to add another 580/evga block into the loop, and the wimpy pump I have now wont handle it.

I currently have this:
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/12222/ex-wat-162/XSPC_Rasa_750_RS360_Universal_CPU_Triple_Radiator_Water_Cooling_Kit_w_Free_Kill_Coil.html?tl=g30c321s1310
with another 120mm rad and a GPU block installed

I want this:

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/15140/ex-wat-203/XSPC_Raystorm_RX360_Extreme_Universal_CPU_Water_Cooling_Kit_w_RX360_Radiator_and_Free_Kill_Coil_Hot_item.html?tl=g30c321s1310

so, the block will be upgraded, the radiator, and the pump. Would I see better temps as is if I installed all this stuff now?

I think you'll see an improvement of temps in your loop, especially with the RX series 260 rad, maybe a little with the pump as well, but the block won't really have much of an effect on the loop.

Personally I think you should just buy the rad on it's own, that'd be an upgrade in itself moving from a slim rad to a much thicker one. Should fit in the 700d just fine.

It's not worth the upgrade at all buying the full kit, however it's probably worth it for you to upgrade a couple components in your loop. The RS360 actually isn't that far behind the RX360, you can flip through the reviews over at Martin's Liquid Lab to see what I mean. I'd go ahead and snag a nicer pump, which you can easily swap out at the same time as you're adding the second GPU, rad, and block.

(edit)
To break it down, the RX360 performs ~7%-10% better than an RS360 with push only, and 8%-12% better in push/pull. I personally don't think it'd be worth the cost and hassle to upgrade from an RS360 to an RX360 if you already have the RS360.

I would definitely not recommend upgrading that CPU block (unless you REALLY care about looks). The difference in temp would be negligible at best. As for the rad, IMO you would be better off modding the bottom of your 700d and fitting an RX240 there. Would net you much more benefit, be cheaper, and it's fun as hell to do. I did it in my own 700d and it was very easy, simply need to remove that bottom HDD cage.

I would, however, upgrade your pump to something along the lines of a mcp355 or mcp35x. They handle multi-block loops much better.

Thanks for the comments guys. I now remember why I havn't bought the RX yet... will hold off on that. I actually bought the block only today, but cancelled the order after I decided it wasn't worth the trouble for a few degrees. I will just buy the better XSPC pump/res with the good pump in it when its time to go dual WC gpu's. For now I have to save my money for another 580 and block.

I would upgrade to a better pump and get a dual rad. That will hold down anything you throw at it!
