Dell UltraSharp U2412M so will I notice?

Thread Starter
I have a 4 year old rebranded Sceptre 24 and I saw this Dell on sale at the egg and couldn't resist.
I did read a couple reviews but don't need hdmi, seems ok, even with only 85% gamut or whatever.
So am I going to notice?
My sinking feeling today that I won't notice or it will be the same and it's all just hype this IPS tech.
Do you think Skyrim will look different?

The difference in image quality between TN and IPS panels is definitely not hype. Colors will look more natural and will "pop" more on the IPS, assuming both panels are calibrated correctly.

Trust me, you will notice the difference. I was using a TN 22" 1680x1050 before I switched to Dell U2412M. The pictures taken with my Canon 7D look much better on the IPS panel. No joke.

Ok great, can't wait until Friday then. Last part of the build coming in and figured why not upgrade the oldest part of my pc?
I do remember looking online at IPS way back when but there were only a few around and wayyy out of budget. thanks guys.
