Ok so here's the deal I was looking around and was told that I could use

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231314
with
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231277

So I tried setting them in my motherboard which is:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128488

and my computer kept turning on and the back off. I tried setting them like:
2 gig
4 gig
2 gig
4gig

and
2 gig
2 gig
4 gig
4 gig

but neither of these work do I have to do something specific to get these to work together? Did I just get an 8 gig kit that wouldn't work and was unlucky?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

With just 1 kit in (2 sticks that is) enter into the bios and increase the QPI VTT voltage (I think it's called that on Gigabyte, most other boards call it VCCIO) to 1.15v. Manually set RAM to 1600mhz 9-9-9-24 (everything else auto) @ 1.5v DRAM voltage. Save the settings. Now put all the memory sticks in. Make sure the matching sticks to a specific kit are in the same colored slots (e.g. 2 4 2 4 or 4 2 4 2).

Ok so I went into my bios trying to change the values however everything is grey'd out. I can't access any of the options by pressing tab/page up/page down/arrow keys. Nothing. am I doing something wrong?'

EDIT: I figured it out. I set a system password and I forgot that it locks you out if you do that.
