680 was originally a mid-range, Nvidia saw they can compete against AMD's high-end with a mid-range so they changed it around. 700 series will be high-end.

I felt the same way when I bought my i7 3820 for $305 feeling that I got it for a good price, only for it to get hacked down to $229 3 weeks later. You either buy it or wait forever, but doing that may lead to not getting anything. Gotta pull the trigger and not look back.

This.

Doesn't matter what and when you buy, sooner or later you can get better for less.

Eyefinity technology, otherwise known as massive screen tearing across 2 digital and 1 dp output. MST hubs are vaporware and all but 2 designs don't address this flaw.
I wanted my 6970's to last me for years but I'm so butthurt I'm selling them at a gigantic loss to switch to the green side.

um vsync?

Interesting even in the UK it dropped to 230 pounds, but price drop is not in Canada yet.

So should I feel like i haven't lost anything?

Get it to 299 and I will buy one, especially with having to pay 10% more for products just because I live in Canada, even though our dollar has been at, near or above parity with the US dollar for the last several months. If AMD really wants to get people interested now that Nvidia is releasing their cheaper cards, they need to do a major price slash again.
