[BSON] AMD Counter-Attacks GeForce GTX 670, Questions NVIDIA's Kepler Availability - Page 52

I can't believe people are still saying Bitcoin mining is profitable.

That ship has sailed, fellas. No need to continue to bring it up.

GPGPU is going to become more prevalent as time passes, but at this time, it's sort of like Nvidia's CUDA... it's really cool, but it hasn't reached the stage where it is totally practical yet.

LOOOOOL Amen! This is better than reality TV. When someone simply links a wiki to an inferior debate strategy, you KNOW this thread is good. I haven't seen this kind of passion in anything but politics discussions with alcohol involved.

It's still profitable if you aren't putting your rig to use and you're not paying for electricity. Though it's pretty hard to support otherwise.

My two 5870s could probably make a good $70-80 in a month granted I run them 24/7. While that isn't a lot, it could help pay for gas or bills or whatnot, but since there is very little profit, I don't bother.

I gave you practical example in the real games , the chart you pulled shows nothing , how can 7870 be a alternative for a card that beats 7970 keeping in mind there is only $60 difference between them , how is 7870 a good purchase in the light of that ?
Sometime you'll have to burst that AMD branded cocoon mate , and face the real world. biggrin.gif
I just can't wait for 660 (Ti) , I'm not going to buy one but if it turns out how it's expected ............ well lets just say you gonna have to do a lot of typing and cherry picking of benchmarks for AMD. wink.gif
P.S You conveniently ignored my post about GTX670 SLI , so since you seem to represent AMD's business here , please find me a viable alternative from AMD's arsenal that matches Nvidia.

Arguing with Jen-Hsun's newest tool is like trying to play chess with a pigeon. No matter how skilled you are, the pidgeon's going to knock over pieces, crap on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

Plugging your ears, closing your eyes and going "nyaaah, your chart doesn't matter" doesn't make you the winner, kid.

Right and calling someone a "kid" automatically makes you right , not to mention cool ......... rolleyes.gif
Once again you ignore what i asked you to do ......... how convenient.
Now how about you come up with something better from AMD for the money ? ..... wait ... you can't because there is none available.

That's not the end ... check this my AMD cheerleader.

Gigabyte 7870 $359

Gigabyte GTX670 $399

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125423

$40 bucks more buys you overclocked custom cooled GTX670 that beats 7970 and can't be touched by 7950 let alone 7870 ..... how's that for a value ? biggrin.gif
Now come up with some real world charts with benchmarks of actual games that show 7870 within 3% range of GTX670 or a good AMD alternative for 670 SLI like i asked you many times.
oh ....... and good luck you will need it. rolleyes.gif

I wanted to get a 6xx series card, but the pricing and the availability have made that impossible for me. I have a $150 credit on newegg and can't even buy this stuff.

I don't need to do anything. I linked a chart with performance per dollar, yet you're apparently incapable of reading it.

Not my fault you're too ignorant of TPU's benchmarks. I don't need luck... i've already won. The facts are behind my argument and devoid from yours. You need a therapist.

And you need a paycheck from AMD , or at least a free card for the blind faith in the AMD overlords. biggrin.gif
Too bad you can't come up with anything real , i still didn't get answer for my questions ........
You got defeated by GTX670 drum.gifbiggrin.gif though you're right at one point , you don't need luck , you have your blind faith in AMD and they just HAVE to be better or your universe wouldn't work.
So all you can do is call me a kid and ignorant . and proclaim yourself a winner ............... what a style you got.

670 sli is better than 7970 cfx? In gaming, yeah. In compute, no. In power consumption, yes. In price, yes. In driver stability, yes.

I'm not arguing that, but your moronic insistence on discussing something completely irrelevant to my point has made you oblivious to the fact that I don't care one way or the other. AMD or Nvidia doesn't matter. Prices do matter, and they're too damn high. You come here with your predictable one-track mind, trumpeting a silly piece of hardware, and I proved you wrong.

All I care about is stomping down your ignorance. AMD does compete with Nvidia on a performance per dollar level, with the 7870 being the perfect example of that. Stop being so afraid of the truth.

OK that's one out of the way , now lets dismantle the other nonsense .....

So you're saying that card that beats 7970 for $400 does not offer better value for money than 7870 for $360 or 7950 for $400 ?
How much is 7970 again ? ........ $500?
