Aspire One 522 Screen Flicker

Alrighty. I have had progressively worse flickering issues since january. I didn't make a warranty request at the time because i needed the laptop for school (and now it is out of the warranty period). Acer, in all of their profound glory, denied my warranty request simply because the warranty period ended in February. (I understand their point of view, but I think I still should have gotten covered. If there crap fails when I need it, why should I have to be punished for that?)

I asked to speak with a supervisor and she offered me $99 + tax + shipping to get it repaired ($320 netbook btw; $175-200 new on ebay). Well, needless to say I am not even going to remotely consider paying the company $100+ for something that should have never been an issue.

I plan on fixing it myself sometime in the next few weeks. I have checked the connection of the screen where it attaches to the motherboard, but it was fine. The video is posted below:

I assume it is some type of loose connection, I am just looking for some more input though (maybe a diff issue?). The screen is only $50 + shipping.

I have checked drivers. The flickering stops when the screen is open all of the way [greater than 90*]. If I keep it at a normal use angle and the flickering occurs, usually hitting the bottom-right corner of the screen makes it stop for a while.

I got it fixed.

Honestly, I just hit the hinge whenever the issue would occur (with my palm, mind you. no hard objects). Although I don't recommend hitting your computer, the problem did go away after a month or two of occasional hitting.

This suggests that it was probably a connection issue (or something very similar) within the screen body itself. I took my computer apart multiple times and I don't believe it was an issue in the main computer itself.
