I am so Sorry

I am so sorry for posting another build, but what do you think, i might go with this build instead, i will be playing mostly gw2 and perhaps bf3, i don't need every thing on super duper ultra; only thing i am missing is the OS, i think i can get it off Craigslist for about $30. Also i am contemplating switching the 560ti for a 460ti. Any help is welcome

looks good.

dont get the 460, also, you can find the 560 for cheaper than that... i did. i dont have link right now, but i found it for like 160

i actually just bought a 550 ti and im completely happy with it, and im on an old core 2 duo. your pc will be WAY faster than mine and mine plays all the modern games at max 1080p settings.

also, is that acer monitor the s211hl? the pic looks exactly like mine and mine is also 21.5

if so, i actually am using it right now and its GREAT. love it you will too.

It looks like you aren't planning on overclocking? If not that's a good build but if you want to overclock you'll probably want a z77 motherboard and a 3570k. Also, that hard drive is a little small. If you think 250GB will be enough that's fine, but games eat space fast. Newegg actually had the 500GB model of that drive on sale yesterday for the same price. It's normal price is only $80 though. I think $10 is worth it to double your space.

definitely not if you want to overclock.. 2500k will run cooler and give you a higher clock if that's what you want...

Z77 board is nice, but not necessary for a 2500k.

Microcenter offers bunder deals on the 2500k and probably the 3570k. I would suggest you look into those instead. Usually you can snag the processor and a GOOD motherboard for around $50 instead of a cheap h61 board. You'll want a P67, Z68, or Z77 board.

The power supply you have chosen is honestly not that great. Shoot for a Corsair CX430 at minimum, those are usually around $35-40 or so (if MC doesn't have, order it off newegg).

The hard drive choice is small, but workable.

Do not downgrade to a GTX 460. If anything, maybe look at a GTX 480 for the same price as that 560Ti, they're on newegg for $209 free shipping.....and it'll walk all over that 560Ti.

Now, I know you said you don't WANT to overclock, but there's no reason not to when you should be able to afford the right parts to do so. The 2500k's will do 4GHz on the stock cooler alone, and 4.5GHz on a cheap CoolerMaster 212+. There's absolutely no reason to buy Sandy Bridge and not overclock it. The performance will likely be "fine" at stock, but you'll eliminate any CPU bottleneck issues by overclocking it (note BF3).

If you make those changes, and get something that overclocks (and get the 480), then you should be able to play games at ultra settings for quite a good while still.

Also, make sure the monitor you've chosen is at least 1080p. For $110 for a cheap monitor, that should be plenty enough to afford a half decent 1080p monitor.

that makes no sense at all.

would you not look at all your options first before pulling the trigger?
