Problem with computer freezing every hour - Page 2

It might not. I also have the M4 128GB and never had it before.
Also, do you know how warm your CPU and GPU are running?

gpu - 37c

cpu - average 32c

and I've had the m4 for about 6 months, nothing sparked before, this problem just came out of thin air so to speak.

If this is the onboard one then it could be the SSD like you said. Though I've never encountered that error message he got.."No boot filename received" & "Exiting PXE ROM" seem suspicious @@''

I'm not so sure about that. All my gigabyte boards have had realtek NICS, including the one I'm writing this from.

Come on man, read up on the actual bug before you dismiss the m4 as being your problem.

Last week, we wrote about the BSOD issue that Crucial's M4 SSDs were experiencing. After 5184 hours (yes, that's the specific number) of active use, the SSD started to cause blue screens of death (i.e. BSODs) every hour or so.

Also, the mighty google confirms: 6 months = 4 382.90639 hours so given that your estimated time of owning the m4 may be a bit conservative, I'd bet this is your problem.

bingo, checking newegg history shows it as about 8-9 months old, making this more than likely my problem, so the firmware update should be a simple fix?
