Okay so i posted on this forum a while back. and after some advice and alot more research ive come up with my final build. Any advice would really be appreciated. this is my first time and i havnt spent this much money on something ever.
Graphics card : Gigabyte gtx 680
Im also adding 2 200mm fans on my case. one for the top exhaust and one in the front for intake. and i plan to move the fan already in front of the case to the side of the case for intake .
I was also wondering with this build if i want to add another graphics card in the future can i do it in sli? like another gtx 680?
And can i overclock this rig safely?
and are the headers on the ram too big? should i get a different ram? im thinking of buying this instead http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231460
In all honesty, it looks like you did quite a bit of homework before you made your decisions on these and everything looks pretty good tbh. However, I would recommend picking up some sort of heatsink for your CPU because if you plan on overclocking it (and you will, welcome to OCN BTW) then you'll absolutely need it.
ALSO, I would take a look through OCN's Online Deals section for deals on the M4 because prices have been dropping quite a bit recently to the point for about 100 dollars for a lucky few and 110 on average it seems.
Another ALSO, the ram you might want to consider some alternatives that I frequently see members around here recommend / lean towards and it's these the G Skills are a bit more pricey but seem to OC well and the Samsungs I hear nothing but good.
Hehe thanks. i did spend alot of time researching.
if you could answer the last few questions regarding sli and ram i would realy appreciate it! and if i do plan to overclock. cant i just order the heatsink fan later on when i do need to overclcock it. i doubt ill need to anytime soon. unless crysis comes 3 comes out or sth. or will i?

No you don't need the heatsink now but it will be a nice think to have in case you suddenly feel the urge to OC since it doesn't require too much effort in terms of purchases.
As for the Overclock what you have picked out will run the 680's in SLI just fine (2 that is ) with the 750W

so everything else looks fine? is it a bit dumb of me if i want to buy everything from newegg? theyr reliable and in case of a DOA they have amazing customer service. im willing to pay extra for that!

absolutely not, peace of mind is not dumb at all. However, know that I've had both good and bad experiences with Newegg so your mileage may vary. I can't stress enough that you SHOULD at least take a look around for better prices on some things that aren't as set in stone such as the disc drive, hard drive etc. Otherwise, your build looks solid and you'll be very happy with it ^_^
Also, what do you have in the way of peripherals if you don't mind me asking?
Since you have bought a K-series chip, it's presumed that you'll eventuate to overclocking, so yeah, as thelamacmdr said, pick up a CPU cooler.
Everything pretty much looks okay. Personally I don't like buying things 2nd hand, so apart from that I'm not really going to comment on that. I think the vengeance modules are just fine tbh. There's very little gain overclocking RAM tbh. You'll notice some minor improvements in some applications, but in the vast majority it's not really noteworthy. Just go for whatever is cheaper.
I would personally recommend you the H100 CPU cooler.
Also, if you're planning to buy a second GTX 680 and if you plan to OC the GPUs, I'd go for a 850W PSU, just to be safe. The GPUs do still draw a lot of power.

i changed the vengeance modules cuz their heatspreaders were too long. and that can be a problem according to alotta people when you want to put in an after market cpu cooler. especially since my case isnt exactly huge. its like a 10 buck difference so i dont mind.

ive read about this on alot of forums, and from what ive gathered if the PSU is of good quality you dont need more than 750W. you could even make do with 650 according to some people!
i just saw the H100. wow that thing is huge. and awesome. haave you used one yourself?
If you're going to go with a 750, at least go with the gold series. Cleaner power, IMHO, more peace of mind to protect your investment. Replacing a PSU later on really sucks man. If you have a few extra bucks, I'd bump it up, sure. Buying a cpu cooler later, buying another GPU later, all that is fun and exciting (and cheaper when prices fall!
Replacing a 750 with an 850 PSU later? That is just a real DRAG feeling. You don't wanna do it! So start with an awesome foundation.

I would say they're right about the wattage not needing to be quite as high but LtStinger is right, and noticed something I failed to notice, don't be afraid to shell out a bit more money for a higher quality PSU. I myself bought a low quality one and regret it everytime I consider wanting to upgrade my computer to an SLI set up
.
Many people have said that the H100 can't perform as well as a good Noctua cooler and if the case you choose can fit it I personally would go with the Noctua since there's typically not as much cooling nor is there as much room for failure.
Furthermore, Dell series of monitors are an excellent choice

thanks! but wont it affect my Pc somehow if i hav an 850W supply and im just using one gtx 680 and not overclockign with my current build? like the less usage of the power supply might produce extra heat ive heard? and in some cases it ruins the PSU? is that true?
You'll have to pull 20% of what it's rated to even turn that fan on due to the technology of the fan in that psu. I would highly suggest the corsair over the cooler master also. Warranty is better, quality is better, and it's fully modular, if you look closely in the pictures on the other one there are still many cables attached, you might not use them and it's a pain trying to hide them. You're going modular, so go all the way.

However, with the quality into the gold standard, I would probably bump it down to a 750, that's just my opinion. This is the one I bought, I love it, and you're in the same market for it. GET IT. lol http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139016&Tpk=ax750
By the pro series, he means the motherboard.
It's better all around, but more expensive. It's got better power phases, so your overclocks will be more stable and less likely to set your house on fire and such. Yeah it's the way to go if you got the money, sure.

hmmm i kinda wanna future proof my rig. so ide rather stick with the 680. since ill be prob adding another one in the future to go sli. will the 670s in sli be pretty much the same? besides i ordered it off amazon already. i could return it i guess.
