This thing destroys my 2 6870's, totally. I wish the game developers were designing games around these new cards instead of ancient consoles. My 6870's are still pushing out some huge fps @ 1080p on these console ports. If you are looking for another GTX 580 or 6950, these are great times as people dump their perfectly good cards from the previous generation to push out another 50 fps on these console ports. The new consoles cannot come out soon enough so that we can get some games that legitimately push these new cards. The thought of 2 of these in SLI is just nuts, you would never have to upgrade again, 500fps in Portal 2 anyone?

Well said and this makes perfect sense for 1080p but at 1440p it's a whole other ball game. My 680 can't push 60 fps on Bf3 with AA @ this resolution and skyrim dips below 60 fps sometimes as well.

Wow... I just watched the latest Tiny Tom Logan video and he thinks the small PCB size of the 670 is further proof that the 680/670 were destined to be midrange cards. He went on further to say that basically some people think the 680 could actually be the 660 and the 670 could actually be the 650. That would be insane if that were the case. More insane to consider what kind of performance is expected then for the true 680 card. And then consider what it would cost now...

That sounds about right. GF110 the high end of Fermi, GTX 580, is replaced with GK100/110. That is when we will see insane performance. No wonder why Nvidia laughed at the high end GPUs from AMD when they haven`t even shipped a single high end Kepler yet biggrin.gif

So why should I buy a 7950 and 7970? The Kepler cards are out performing all their out performing their best.

I haven't seen anything like this since the 8 - Series Cards. I Remember saving up as kid for 8800GTX.. then the 8800GTS came out. i thought i learned my lesson then. Either way I'm happy with "My" Gtx 680 Purchase. Anyone who want's to sell there gtx 680 to get gtx 670 well i think that's kind of silly. The extra 100 was the price to pay to have the new tech!

Anyways, the gtx 670 is a kickass card and for that price that's crazy awesome.

What makes you think this is possible? It never has been before, not with nV cards, only AMD has had this functionality in the past. I've always hoped for it, but it's never happened with nV.

Anyone know when waterblocks are going to be available for these?

It sounds like the windforce uses the same PCB as the 680 so it might be possible to watercool those with existing blocks. I'm hoping EK comes out with a 670 reference design soon.
