Same feelings, but honestly Asus dropped the ball and didn't have them stocked in the US when they should have, plus EVGA has the better warranty and customer service. My FTW is scheduled to be delivered today - although I had a Corsair M60 mouse package stolen yesterday from my front doorstep (supposedly "delivered" by OnTrac) so now I'm really nervous about packages being delivered, especially one worth this much. I will be rushing home from work as soon as I get the alert from UPS (which can be delayed from the actual delivery time to notification). Hopefully it doesn't arrive during my production meeting this afternoon.
Hopefully Asus will see a large enough dent in their initial sales to work on getting the parts to market on time in the future. I'll be steaming for a while, but I'll get over it tomorrow when the FTW comes and I can ship my crummy vanilla model back to Amazon
That reference design (And unfortunately EVGA's take on it, too, despite a strong effort) is absolutely terrible as far as I'm concerned, in many ways.
