Yup, painting it WILL void your warranty. At least i know for sure that it voids EVGA's warranty. The only way it won't void your warranty is if you have a second unpainted shroud you could use to replace the painted one when you try to send it back or get warranty related help. It also might not completely void your warranty but you might be charged for a replacement shroud. You're best off contacting Asus directly if you're worried about it.

Yeah I think finding a low residue sticker is the better way to go. Luckily the red areas on the card are pretty small, it shouldn't be that hard to cut any size sticker down to the right dimensions.


This is rather exciting that the ASUS card is finally in stock at the egg. Since I'm still weeks from being ready to purchase, I can at least look foward to reading what results you guys get with the ASUS Top. biggrin.gif

My understanding is that if you paint the shroud, you'll have to pay for a replacement shroud in the event that you RMA the card. I may go for it, myself, to make the card suit my needs :3 (That green GEFORCE GTX logo has gotta go! smile.gif)
