New heatsink and CPU fan?

Hi guys, I´ve been using a common heat sink since I bought my i7 860 but i need to buy another one, i have socket 1156 and i'm gonna upgrade to 1155 (maybe 2600k) this summer, so i'm looking for a heat sink not higher than 14cm and with a important performance

I have to remember that i'm spanish, so i can only get it from spain, anyway, what do you advice me to buy?

Amazon.com sells to Spain,...so you can get anything you can get in the US you can get in Spain if your willing to pay extra.

The Zalman CNPS8900 would be what i would chose. I think the Noctua's are ugly, and i have been really impressed by Zalmans. The Zalman CNPS8900 is only 6cm high, and performs excellently.

The Noctua NH-C14 is the highest performance low-profile heatsink on the market,...but i believe it's 13m high. Is there 14 cm total space in your case? In which case, your need more than 1cm extra room so the fans can intake air....hmmm..

The Noctua NH-L12 is 9 cm high and would be a good fit.

I really have 15,5 cm from mobo to the end of the tower, if it is 13 cm i think I could use it, but ... what do you think about : http://www.pccomponentes.com/noctua_nh_u9b_se2.html

It seems like its 125mm high, with two 120mm fan.

I agree the Noctua coolers are excellent, I have a few myself and their fans.

But if you are restricted on space then you could think about one the the intergrated water coolers like H80. Takes up no space inside the case and you should be able to attached the radiator to the a 120mm exit vent on your case.

Of course replacing the Corsair fans with a pair of Noctua NF-F12 PWN fans.

I have this exact setup on one machine and it works very well.

Your choice of heatsink really depends on how much you want to overclock. Since you are changing motherboard and cpu, change your case as well. Get one wide enough to fit a full size heatsink.

In my sig is a thread on choosing a good case for airflow. Then you can see what is available for heatsinks. Phanteks, Silver Arrow, Noctua NH-14 are the best. The others are good, but not the best.
