[CT] Microsoft Bans Firefox On ARM-Based Windows. - Page 10

Breaking the Amazon monopoly on e-book pricing is anti-competitive? haha lachen.gif They don't treat e-books any different than apps. Same percentage cut. If xyz and abc company choose to sell for the same price all of a sudden, that's not Apple's fault. If you want to sell something on the Apple Store, you're treated equally no matter what it is you're trying to sell.
Why can't anyone think properly anymore?

This is just funny to read. All these kids new to computers thinking Apple's the anti-competitive company. lachen.gif No wonder there's so much non-sense spouted in their threads.

Just because Microsoft isn't entirely fair doesn't make Apple any less anti-competitive.

They have to be anti-competitive in the first place to even be "less". So until they actually become so, using an argument from ignorance isn't a valid method of logic.

Yeah, wasn't there just an article the other day about how Mozilla was fine with Apple banning Firefox on the iPad?

They've never banned Firefox... If you want to be listed in the App Store though, you can't use your own compiler. You can if you distribute through Cydia though which we've been doing since 07.

AT&T preventing Google from including VOIP on their phones back when they had exclusivity? AT&T preventing tether apps for customers not paying the extra fee? It even says that since 2009, the music industry's hold on the distribution of their music finally let Apple sell DRM free music. ALAC is open-source. "The Commission's main target is not Apple but the music companies and music rights agencies." Are you having trouble comprehending what is written?

Sig worthy. Just finished the first season!

Other than that, I think it's lame MS is doing this but what does my opinion matter to MS anyways.

If MS continues with stupid strategies like this, most of the enthusiast crowd (and much of the non-enthusiast crowd) will probably stick with Windows 7.

That's stupid. They've no legit reason for this.

Just because you control a small part of the market doesnt mean that you are not anti-competitive. In fact the closed nature of osx/ios has guaranteed is both partly responsible for their small market share and is also anti-competitive
