Activating Windows issue

I had Windows 7 installed on my second HDD(used to be main), then my SSD. I changed my mobo and used Sysprep, so I don't have to reinstall windows again. When I boot it on my new mobo the first time, it asked me to reactivate windows. So I typed the product key and I got it in just fine. After few days I started seeing messages saying I have less than a month to activate my windows. My current product key won't work anymore and the automated phone activation is useless to me. Do I have to buy the new product key? The windows still tells me my product ID.

if it's OEM, you're supposed to buy a new license because you changed motherboards. if it's retail, call Microsoft and explain the situation. they will sort things out for you.

^^^ These. If you have retail call the number on the screen and MS will reactivate it but if you have an OEM key you need to buy a new one as OEM ties to the first motherboard you activate it on.

My product ID does incudle OEM in it. Why do I get the OEM version? Where I can buy the product key? I hope I don't have to reinstall windows.
