Before you go and do that, we still havent confirmed whether the key you have now is OEM or not.
Was the computer in question bought as a complete system from a retail store or did you build it?
edit: nvm i cant read today apparently.

Where did you purchase your original copy? That's where you would have gotten the OEM version.

A lot of places like Amazon, Newegg, Walmart, etc are $100, but NCIX have it for $90. Is it a good deal or what?

I have to admit it. I brought this prebuild PC from cyberpowerpc more than year ago. That is before I learn to build computers. I made some mistakes picking some parts.

That would be why its an OEM copy. If you plan to keep upgrading as time goes on I'd pick up a retail copy for a little more.

You mean $90-$100 more? I'm planning to keep this mobo for couple years, so OEM will be fine for now. I can't afford to throw $190 right now.

Hmm, good idea. I didn't know the upgrade version works that way. I have another question. Is there an limit how much I can install the retail version? I might install on my family's computer if they need it.

you can't do that unless you buy 2 license keys. 1 retail key allows you to activate on different motherboards/ computers as long as only 1 computer is activated at any given time.
