Dude, the e6300 spanks the crap outta anything else on the market in every way, other than the higher e6x00 CPUs...

Yep the C2D is a fantastic CPU and there is nothing to touch it at the moment and i really cant wait to get my hands on one!
But lets not forget that outside the core 2 duo range the pentium D is still a good processor and is more than enough for the average user.

And by the way if i had £1 for every time i heard someone say the Pentium IV or the Pentium D is faster than the core 2 duo i would be a very rich man!
For people who dont understand the architecture of a CPU at all, which to be fair more people dont than do, it does appear that the core 2 duo is slower because they just look at the clock speed and maybe the cache size.
Maybe Intel should think about a fresh approach to stating the performance index of a processor to help people see the best product.
