Anybody having problems with Intel's Rapid Storage Technology enterprise drivers on X79 ? - Page 2

I get BSOD with 3.2.0.1126 too. The previous driver I use is 3.0.1.7016 doesn't have this problem & running fine for 4 months until I updated to 3.2.0.1126.

(The first two BSOD are when I tried to run older HWiNFO64 & AIDA64 respectively using 3.2.0.1126.)

I just got another BSOD and this is with the latest Intel RSTe drivers. I've noticed it only happens when I am running HWiNFO64. Is there any solution to this? I was in the middle of the game and I got a BSOD. I was using HWiNFO64 for in-game information.

By the way, the BSOD was caused (this time) by storport.sys.

I didn't get BSOD when running HWiNFO64. I have HWiNFO64 ver 4.04-1730 & IRSTe 3.5.0.1101 (in about box it show 3.5.0.1092) from Intel. However, I didn't run HWiNFO64 long enough (e.g. for in-game information), so I don't know whether I'll get BSOD too.

Installed 8 also.

I wanted to optimise after install and smart was down (again).
Mt SSD was being identified as a scsi device and so not smart detectable
Last time I ran the ISO update for my SSD, Intel 520 240Gb.
It worked.
This time no go.(already updated to currant driver)
I rolled back Intel storage controller driver in device mgr.
My drive reverted to and was detected as the ahci I know and love.
That worked and I was able to run trim and smart features.
Computer still hangs now and then, but is better.
I'll play with the wright caching next.
Glad I checked with OC.Net.

8 is irritating by the way, just a FYI.
Start button is gone from task bar, you have to hover in top corner to open options, then click power options, then select your choice.
Windows has decided that it is better that it decides when your computer needs to sleep.
Checked their tutorial, windows claims power saving benefits.
That could make a lot of computer power available to someone with remote, back door access.
Skynet anyone.wink.gif

I thought it was my OCed i7 3930k that was causing the BSODs... well, it isn't so. The recent BSODs point to iaStora.sys, and thus, the C600 Storage controller driver. I replaced those drivers with default MS ACHI drivers through Device manager, no more BSODs...

WHAT'S up with these crap drivers anyway?mad.gif

I too get BSOD every month or so that point to the RSTe driver. With the latest BIOS for my motherboard, they provide the option of installing either the RST drivers or the RSTe drivers. Just installed RST after flashing the latest BIOS and so far I've noticed my computer boots about 1-2 seconds faster already.

AS SSD shows performance is similar.

I'll see if I get any BSOD with these drivers.
