best IPS for portrait eyefinity setup?

Thread Starter
I'm looking for new 22-23" monitors for my portrait eyefinity setup. Need IPS because as much as I love portrait setups, the viewing angle on TN panels is just awful. And because it's going to be portrait, I need the bezels to be symmetrical vertically. So the top and bottom need to match. I was looking at the Dell IPS monitors, like the u2212hm. Are there any better, cheaper options? Looking to spend around $200ish per monitor. Thanks

The Dell U2312HM has excellent viewing angles and is generally a good monitor. I ran three of them in portrait for a short time.

I'm going to recommend the newer LG IPS LED models. I have 3 LG's and I like them a lot, great colors, bright, and not too expensive.

I've just received 3 u2212HM and will use them on Asus 7970 DC2T. I think it will be very nice. Now I need to buy dp cables because I've forgotten this little detail.

And I don't know if I can use all 3 monitors on displayports only because this video card has 4 dp and 2 dvi ports. I think will work fine.

It should be fine. I have 3xU2410 hooked up to an ASUS 6950DCII with the same outputs (all three via DisplayPort).

Have you had any problems with the card? I've pretty much decided that's what I'm going to get for the build I'm working on now.

No problems. This card is fantastic! Very cold, very good performance, lots os inputs (6 total) and actually with beta 12.6 drivers i've not found any bugs or issues. There was many bugs with 12.4 drivers, but now is ok.
