I have a Sabertooth 990FX and a B55 (for now) I have OC'ed itr to 3.5ghz, but I can't push it past 212 without it not bluescreening and i'm getting 1.452V, what settings should I change in order to maximize the CPU speed and still have my computer load? (I'm also OC'ing my 1600mhz ram to 1700mhz) I know a small bit about OC'ing and need some advice :/

The multiplier won't go past 16.5 and it won't boot or bluescreens if the BUS Speed is above 212mhz. Is there anything I can do about this to get a better CPU clock?

you tried down setting ram a step and nb/ht a step or two.
i dont recommend ocing ram,i had 8gb of 1333mhz stuff, clocked it to 1466 and had to rma it,as it all cooked off.
also whats your voltage when doing full load operations? (prime95,ect,ect)
i am asking as i have just played with my cpu load line calibration setting and found they bring a fixed voltage under load.
http://www.overclock.net/t/1255700/digi-vrm-setting
i dont know if your cpu needs llc but the mobo has that feature and might be being employed .

thank you! I barely know anything and stepping down the nb/ht made it able to increase the BUS speed and get it to 3.74, I might try to up it a bit more since the temp is only ~47C, again thanks a bunch!

I have it stable at 3.81ghz. It's weird, my ram actually uses a smaller percentage when it's not being clocked as high 5-10%@1533mhz vs 15-30%@1697mhz. I'm going to keep track and see if it bluescreens, it has a habit of it when I OC things. I'm looking at a new CPU soon and I was thinking the 8120 or 8150. I heard the 8150 isnt worth it if you plan on OC'ing. What would you recommend? (not going with Intel, because I have my Sabertooth 990FX)

i think 8120 is better than the 8150,one of the threads is about clocking all amd cpu's to 4ghz and benching them for comparison.the 8150 and 8120 are the same at the same speed.
but the rumour mill is grinding out piledriver and the 2nd generation fx chips.we all hope they will be soon and a lot better.
i re buy pc's every 2 years to keep up,i buy amd because of the price,i want to keep up with the games ,not be a super pc junkie, but iam turning that way.

the LMC= limited menory controller in all PH II cpu's is 1600 Mhz cand you over clock it using the bus speed yes but it will deffet over clocking I can over clock my NB to 325 Mhz but to get that I have to under clock my ram down to 1100 Mhz if I put my NB down to 280 and ram at 1333 I have beter bench marks then NB at 325 and ram at 1100 the best bench is NB at 250 and ram at 1600

Thanks! I had an issue with the 3.8 OC so it's steady at 3.7, I'd really like to hear what you find about comparing the 1090T and FX6200, from what I hear the 6200 isn't as fast. but since the 1090T is such a limited processor now, I really would like to know more about the 6200.
