I haven't done the build yet, i'm going to do it next month. Looking like:

i7 3770K
GTX 670
debating between Gigabyte and MSI z77 boards
8 (possibly 16GB) DDR3 1600 RAM
Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced case

I'll check in again once i actually start buying stuff.

Grab an Asrock Z77 Extreme 6
Samsung 8GB 1600Mhz Low profile RAM, overclock it to 2400MHz. No need for 16GB, you only need that much if you are using multiple virtual machines.

Are you primarily gaming? If you are, you can cut some costs by going to an i5, i7's off you little to no difference when gaming.

When the Motherboard specs list:

DDR3 2400(OC)/1600/1333/1066

Does that mean it will not run 1800, 1866, etc speeds?

Seems weird that it would run 2400 but not 1800?

Motherboard question...

ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157293

MSI Z77A-G45 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130645

GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD3H LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128544

Will i notice a difference? What are the pros and cons? They seem similar. Is the ASRock a good brand? I heard they were sort of cheap quality wise.

Also, i'm still fighting myself over the 3570K vs 3770K. I play WoW, Diablo III, and some other PC games, i like to run iTunes and web browse and use chat clients all while gaming. Sometimes i run FRAPS, but not really often. Would i even notice the difference?
